Between September 25th and 27th, Marseille will host the 13th edition of "World e-ID & Cybersecurity Congress". This event explores the latest secure identification technologies, their implementation and the related online trust challenges.
Safelayer will make a presentation about the strategic importance of electronic signatures. The electronic signature is a central element in processes that improve efficiency saving money, increasing mobility and reducing the use of paper in daily transactions amongst citizens, consumers, employees, companies and public entities. The digital transformation has paved the way for a citizen-wide mobile identity ecosystem, providing a new technological and legal framework to promote and make easier digital relationships between individuals, corporations and public organizations.
eIDAS regulation introduces the adoption of remote, or server signing, as a qualified electronic signature mechanism aimed at broadening the scope of use cases for electronic signature. Remote signing is characterized by the centralizing of certificates and keys on a server from which applications and users, after authenticating, request signature operations. The main benefits of this approach include greater ease of use, higher control, centralized auditing and cost savings at different levels (basically in the deployment and integration).
