Held on October 29-30 at the Lisbon Congress Centre.
Safelayer, a Spanish company leader in PKI technology for digital identification, electronic signatures and data encryption, was present alongside its partner Prológica, a Portuguese provider of Information Technology services, at the 5th Exhibition on innovative products and services for the Public Administration, held on October 29-30 at the Lisbon Congress Centre and organized by the National Administration Institute (INA).
The Instituto Nacional de Administraçao is responsible for developing and promoting knowledge, innovation and transformation processes in the Portuguese public sector through training, technical assistance and research activities. The 5th Exposição sobre Produtos e Serviços Inovadores na Administração Publica brought together public administrations, service companies and manufacturers who presented their products and projects with a view to contributing to the modernization and development of the Portuguese Public Administration. Safelayer has undertaken several projects for the Portuguese Public Administration, including those for the Portuguese Government - CEGER –, the Ministry of Justice - ITIJ -, and the Ministry of Rural Development and Fishing. In the private sphere, the company has worked with its value-added integrator partner Próogica to develop Notariocert, a system for managing and issuing digital certificates for notaries.
KeyOne and TrustedX, Safelayer’s digital signature and identity solutions, were presented during the event. These solutions offer a complete digital certificate and electronic signature management system comprising a Certification Authority and Registration Authority, Validation Authority, Time-Stamping Authority, and the technology that enables PKI integration in corporate environments and client posts. These solutions are based on market standards and allow for fast and secure integration and customization in all existing systems.
Broadly speaking, PKI technology ensures and guarantees the integrity, authenticity, confidentiality and non-repudiation of any electronic transaction, protecting information and providing electronic signatures with the same legal value that a handwritten signature has today.
