Onomatopic is a project belonging to the Pan-European Programme MEDEA (Programme for advanced cooperative Research and Development in Microelectronics) within the EUREKA ground.
Before the imminent development of electronic Citizen services by the European Public Administrations, next September 19 Onomatopic is glad to invite Safelayer, among other e-Administration players, in order to state their ideas regarding the electronic document interoperability.
Onomatopic´s strategic aim is the development of a complete Hardware and Software platform to allow the European Community to perform a massive deployment of new services in Citizen sector and Multimedia Cell Phone Sector.
Particularly, the project is focused on Electronic Identity definition and standardization with Electronic Card support in Europe. The outcome achieved by Onomatopic will directly influence the standardization Committees currently developing the "European Citizen Card" on a communitarian level.
"A particular aim of Safelayer´s participation in the project, is to establish itself as a connection between the Spanish Public Administrations participating in e-DNI and above-mentioned standardization Committees, so the DNI-e technologic capabilities should be extrapolated, thus guaranteeing the right interoperability with future projects of this kind, to be developed within the Union", remarked Mr. Adrián Moure, Vice President for Sales, Marketing and Alliances at Safelayer.
Next September 19 a conference will take place at the French Riviera Sophia-Antipolis, with attendance of different European Public Administrations, and purpose of beginning a process of dialogue and cooperation, following the line to achieve the general aims of the project.
Safelayer, in addition to promoting these conferences, has been invited to participate in the dialogue day to be held, bringing its knowledge and its view about Interoperability and Administration of Security and Privacy, through the participation of Mr. Manuel Torres, Professional Services Manager at Safelayer.
