Safelayer, GyD and Datacard together at Tecnimap 2007

With the slogan "Leaders in Digital Identity for the e-Administration"

"The meeting of the Spanish Public Administrations is held on 27-30 November in Gijón with the theme "Administration 2.0: New Services, New Rights".

"The three leading companies in their market segments have held commercial alliances for years, working together on some of the most important electronic identification projects for the Spanish Administration, including CatCert and Izenpe.

Safelayer, leading Spanish supplier of PKI technology for electronic identification and signature, GyD Ibérica, the biggest supplier of smart cards and electronic payment systems in Spain, and Datacard Group, international world leading company in secure identification solutions and card customisation, will jointly attend Tecnimap 2007.

Tecnimap, held this year in Gijón from 27-30 November, is a meeting organised by the Spanish Public Administrations to exchange ideas and experiences regarding the modernisation and application of information technologies in the civil service.

For the first time in its history, public service users will be invited to take part in this year's tenth edition, with the theme "Administration 2.0: New Services, New Rights", which expects to attract over 5.000 participants, 250 companies and some one hundred news agencies.

The three leading companies in their market segments have worked together on some of the most important electronic identification projects for the Spanish Administration such as CatCert and Izenpe, and for many years they have held commercial alliances to ensure product interoperability.

As a result of their fruitful relationship, they have decided to attend the event under the slogan "Leaders in Digital Identity for the e-Administration," uniting their technologies to offer a solutions package that covers global identification needs.

Sharing stand 81, the three companies will present the latest progress made in electronic identification, cards and identification tokens, digital identity management and customisation systems.

This year's event, organised by the Ministry of Public Administrations, the Government of the Principality of Asturias and the City Council of Gijón, will be held at the Gijón Trade Fair.

With a programme based on round tables and workshops, the meeting will discuss issues of interest in the field of new technologies and e-administration. This edition also features EXPOTECNIMAP, which presents the latest projects developed by the Public Administration in the field.

Another new feature of TECNIMAP 2007 is the granting of three awards, one for each level of Administration, as recognition to the most outstanding initiatives that enable communications between citizens and the Administration, promoting access to public services and citizen participation, and simplifying and modernising services.
