Organised by the research group dedicated to Mathematics Applied to Cryptography at the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and with the collaboration of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), it aims to garner interest in cryptography as a significant issue in information and communications security.
The best scientists in the field will attend Eurocrypt 2007 (International Conference on the Theory and Application of Cryptographic Techniques) to present original articles on the technical aspects of cryptography and information security. Every year, articles compete to qualify among the best thirty from a total of 200 works.
Some of the most interesting topics covered during the conference include those related to research in message encryption, digital signatures, digital certificates, smart cards, security in wireless networks, etc. Given its leading position in the market of security and trust for ICT, and its role as referent in major projects related to technology for authentication, authorisation, integrity and confidentiality, Safelayer is proud to support this type of event.
One of its aims is to help generate interest in cryptography and information security, which is a very important issue at present, at both a business and a university level in Spain. By sponsoring the conference, Safelayer is contributing to make this possible.
The event will take place at Hotel Catalonia Plaza, located in Plaza de España, on May 20-23, 2007.
