The two companies consolidate a collaboration that began with the first digital signature projects undertaken by Safelayer in Spain.
Safelayer Secure Communications, a company leader in the market of PKI technology for digital identification and electronic signature, and GyD Ibérica, the leading manufacturer of smart cards and electronic payments systems in Spain, have renewed their technological collaboration agreement. By virtue of this agreement, both companies have standardised their products to offer the market comprehensive solutions with certified global interoperability.
The agreement certifies the interoperability of hardware devices for protecting keys for user systems. More specifically, the Starcos SPK card by GyD and KeyOne products by Safelayer have been standardised.
"The use of GyD Ibérica's smart cards increases the security level of user keys in the KeyOne Public Key Infrastructure while enhancing their mobility, enabling keys to be used securely and conveniently in different systems and applications", explains Adrián Moure, Executive Vice President at Safelayer.
Starcos SPK by GyD is a smart card that increases the security level of the user keys of the KeyOne PKI and operators. It offers users increased mobility, enabling them to use their keys securely and comfortably in different systems and applications.

GyD also has cards under Java Card new technologies such as Sm@rtCafé, which offers increased flexibility for applications while preserving maximum security levels.
