Electronic passport deployment in Spain

Recently the implementation of new measures improving the security and complicating the forgery of the traditional passport has been accelerated worldwide. The electronic passport (ePassport) issued by the Ministry of Interior of the Spanish Government uses the KeyOne family products. International standards for issuing and managing ePassports force the implementation of a public key infrastructure that is relatively complex to manage. Electronic contract

The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC, Open University of Catalonia) decided to use Safelayer's TrustedX platform to make the process of hiring teaching staff more efficient, eliminating the need for paper thanks to the electronic contract. The foundations also needed to be laid for the future incorporation of the benefits of the electronic signature in other of the educational institution's processes.
