PKI Services deployment on the web channel of the Bank of Spain

This article explains how the Spanish Central Bank(henceforth BDE), after deploying its Public Key Infrastructure, approached the integration of PKI services into their corporate applications. With this objective in mind, all through the current year, it has been executed the deployment project of Service-oriented Architecture based on the Safelayer´s TrustedX product. The job has been carried out by the Computer Security Unit of the Information Systems and Entity Processes Department, with the collaboration of Indra.

Towards a new electronic identification of citizens: the DNI-e

The electronic Spanish Identity Card (DNI-e) aims to provide Spanish citizens with an identification mechanism that enables them to electronically sign documents and improve the level of trust of the Spanish population in the Information Society. This work presents the main features of the DNI-e, in terms of its physical support (card and chip) and from a logical viewpoint (digital certificates, electronic signatures, keys, etc). Particular emphasis is placed on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), the basis of its development and future use.

A Service Oriented Trust Development Platform

A Trust Development Platform that offers services for the generation and interpretation of trust based on the concept of ecosystem's federation is presented. Trust federation schemes allow to define bonds of confidence between systems managed under different domains and policies. Each ecosystem has a trusted service provider that will automatically deliver services for the local domain following its own security policies. Ecosystem's federation leads us to the federation of trusted services providers and therefore, to the development of federated trust systems.

CIBERPAÍS - Several Spanish cryptography experts participate in European projects

Specialists must manage both Encoding Algorithm Design and Analysis of their weaknesses and the possibilities of maliciously broken code.

The countries that have implanted the new electronic passport, those from European Union, United States and Canada, will must exchange, every three months, the digital certificates of the reading machines at Customs Posts and Air Lines, according to Mr. Jordi Iñigo, Software Development Manager at the company Safelayer, during the IX Spanish Meeting about Cryptology and Information Security, held in Barcelona.

EWEEK - Practical Defence with the digital identity

An integral plan to consolidate the digital certificates and the search of optimisation of the information management.  In 2002 this idea originated the CIS Managing Plan of the Ministry of Defence, a pioneering search for a paperless administration.

This project's main goal was adapting the Ministry of Defence and its dependencies to a more secure administration to easily interact with other institutions, thanks to the Electronic Signature.
