Reference numbers of generally recognised standards for electronic signature products

The Annex II and Annex III to Directive 1999/93/EC establish the requirements for certification-service-providers issuing qualified digital certificates and for secure electronic signature products. Reference numbers of the generally recognised standards are included on Commission Decision of 14 July 2003.

The objective of this Directive is to create a legal framework to ensure the free movement of information society services between Member States.

Community Framework for Electronic Signatures
