Reference numbers of generally recognised standards for electronic signature products

The Annex II and Annex III to Directive 1999/93/EC establish the requirements for certification-service-providers issuing qualified digital certificates and for secure electronic signature products. Reference numbers of the generally recognised standards are included on Commission Decision of 14 July 2003.

Directive on Electronic Commerce

DIRECTIVE 2000/31/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 8 June 2000 on certain legal aspects of information society services, in particular electronic commerce, in the Internal Market (Directive on electronic commerce). The objective of this Directive is to create a legal framework to ensure the free movement of information society services between Member States.
