Safelayer and Datacard Group to jointly attended TECNIMAP 2006

This year, the Spanish Public Administrations' biennial meeting was hold in Seville from 30 May to 2 June.

The companies have worked together on some of the Spanish Administration's most significant electronic identification projects.

Safelayer, a leading Spanish supplier of PKI technology for electronic identification and signature, and Datacard Group, a global company and world leader in secure identification and card personalisation solutions, have announced their joint attendance at Tecnimap 2006.

Tecnimap is the Spanish Public Administrations' biennial meeting for sharing ideas and experiences related to the modernisation and application of information technologies in the civil service. It will take place at the Palacio de Congresos conference centre in Seville from 30 May to 2 June.

Dedicated to "Information Technologies for the Modernisation of the Public Administrations," some 10,000 delegates and 200 companies are expected to attend this ninth edition during which they will display their products and solutions for the Public Administration.

Safelayer and Datacard Group have worked together on some of the Spanish Public Administration's most important electronic identification projects. Due to their scope and social relevance, it is particularly worth mentioning those for the Generalitat Autonomous Government of Catalonia, the Basque Government (Izenpe), the Andalusian Autonomous Government (Receta Electrónica), Banco de España (Central Bank of Spain) and Canal de Isabel II (Madrid's public water company).

As a result of such a fruitful collaboration, the two companies have decided to jointly attend in order to prove that joining complementary synergies and leading technologies can lead to the successful implementation of the most complex and critical secure digital identification projects.
