About Safelayer
Safelayer Secure Communications S.A. develops software for PKI, authentication, electronic signatures and data protection. Its infrastructure solutions are used by governments, the banking and finance sector, insurance companies, large corporations, and security service providers, including certification service providers (CSPs).
Safelayer bases its market strategy on its partners, who are leading consulting firms, integrators and technology providers that guarantee the integration of Safelayer products in any activity sector and business application. Safelayer currently has a distribution network of 21 VARs and is present in 13 countries in EMEA and LATAM.
Safelayer was founded in 1999 and has offices in Madrid and Barcelona. According to the consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, in 2008 Safelayer achieved an 80% share of the PKI market with its KeyOne product. In 2007, the company won the TeleTrusT Innovation Award for TrustedX, a product that includes a complete set of functions for integrating electronic signatures in applications.
